Pigeon Pox Vaccine is a vaccination in theprevention of pox in pigeons.Vaccineshould be administered using a follicle method on young birds within the 9^thweek of age.

Vaccination Procedure:

Remove rubber stops from both bottles and pourthe liquid into the freeze dried vaccine.

After removing a small area of feathers fromthe outside of the upper leg, the vaccine is rubbed into the featherless follicleswith a hard brush. Approximately 7-9days later check for “takes” (scabs) in the area that the vaccine wasapplied.“Takes” will be most apparent overthe next 2-3 weeks.

If formation of “takes” is incomplete or doesnot occur at all the vaccination should be repeated approximately 4 weekslater.

-All young birds in the flock should bevaccinated

-Until dropping of the crust at the vaccinatedpigeons are a potential source of contagion for non vaccinated pigeons.

Vaccine should be refrigerated untilused.

Vaccine can not be stored and used again aftermixed.Any unused contents should be discarded.
Once Vaccine is opened it must be used in the same day, regardless of how many birds you vaccinate with it.
